Thats me, back again

MEMMAKER this is the command to start the program, this command is in the dos directory, it can be typed at the prompt, ( C:\> ) , ( before you run this read the last line ).

If you have WINDOWS 95, this command is not on your system, it can be installed, you can install this by double clicking on the file or from dos by typing the path & command.

The file is on your windows CD, in ,,,OTHER\OLDMSDOS\,,,,,& the command is INSTSUPP.BAT,,,it then installs most of the dos commands that you were missing.

In the first screen change it to continue,( change it by pressing the spacebar ), then press enter.

Next it will ask if you have any programs that use extended memory, change it to yes, ( press spacebar ), then press enter.

Now you have a list of 7 items.

2nd from the top, say yes, ( scan upper memory braket ) ( use spacebar ) ( be careful not to press the spacebar ).

Next the line, use monochrome address rang,( 4th line I believe ) ( change to yes, press spacebar ).

Now press enter.

It will come back & tell you it found windows, ( press enter ).

Now it will tell you its going to restart your system, ( it will reboot 2 times ).

For WINDOWS 95 you will need to exit windows 95 each time using your DOS app icon on your desktop, ( the same way you entered DOS the first time, this will happen 2 times.

After the 2nd reboot it will tell you what changes it has made,,,look to the last column,,,if there any - signs in front of the #`s, tell it to return to last configuration. ( check the last line on this page ).

In DOS type mem/c/p (press enter ), this will tell you where the drivers loaded, ( press any key ), now look for the line that says,,, largest program size,,,this how much conventional memory you have. this is what you need to know.

The # below tells you how much room you have left in UMB.

If you followed my configuration, ( which you should have ), before you run memmaker you need to change your cdrom line in the autoexec.bat to /M:10
